A Queen‚s Law alumnus is now Ontario's top lawyer. The Hon. John P. Gerretsen, Law '67 (Arts '64), was named the province's Attorney General on Oct. 20 by Premier Dalton McGuinty.
Jim D’Andrea, Law '82 (Arts '77, MA '80) was installed as a Fellow of the American College of Labor and Employment Lawyers when it held its 16th Annual Induction Dinner in Seattle, Washington, in November. The College honours lawyers it deems possess the highest professional qualifications and ethical standards as well as character, integrity and leadership.
Gerard Kennedy, Law '10, began pursuing an LLM at Harvard this fall as the recipient of a Frank Knox Memorial Fellowship. The award, given to three Canadian students for graduate studies at Harvard University each year, includes tuition, health insurance and a $25,000 living expense stipend.
