Recognizing Your Generosity

Law80chqpres1.jpgYour generous gifts to Queen’s Law make an invaluable and lasting impact on our students, faculty and alumni. With your help, we create modern teaching and learning spaces with state-of-the-art educational technology. We also recruit first-class students and offer them ways to enrich their legal education - from participating in new and enhanced hands-on-learning opportunities to studying in exchange programs with leading universities around the world and interning with international public interest organizations. You are a critical part of our success in maintaining our status as a leading Canadian law school.

Your investment in the Faculty is greatly appreciated and will be publicly and gratefully highly recognized. Classrooms, programs, moots and student awards can be named in you honour. It is important to us to recognize your generosity and thank you for your support of Queen’s Law.

To show our gratitude, we have created a number of ways to recognize your support:

  • Queen's Law Reports, our annual alumni magazine, includes your name in our Honour Roll of Donors by Class.
  • Our Cumulative Giving Wall displays the names of all benefactors who have given $25,000 or more to the law school.
  • Our Classroom Renewal Recognition Wall displays the names of all donors who contributed $5,000 or more to the Classroom Renewal Project.
  • The Benefactors Wall is located in Queen's Stauffer Library.
  • The Queen's Royal Legacy Society recognizes gifts made by will, charitable trusts, life insurance, real estate, registered funds and charitable gift annuities.
  • Queen's annual and lifetime Appreciation Societies allow us to acknowledge your contributions and support.
  • Queen's Grant Hall Society Events are black tie galas held each fall to honour contributors to the Grant Hall Society and members of the Circles of Distinction.
  • Queen's annual Report of Contribution magazine highlights giving over the fiscal year and shows how the gifts have been used.
