My current research involves: 1) work to require Correctional Service of Canada to allow offenders to be represented by counsel at Segregation Review Board hearings; and 2) work on a revised edition of my casebook, Clinical Correctional Law. As Director of the Correctional Law Project, a legal clinic which provides assistance and representation in the area of correctional law to offenders incarcerated in federal penitentiaries in the Kingston area, I am responsible, with the Project’s Staff Lawyers, for the Project’s casework and my research also involves work on the many issues in correctional law raised by the Project’s casework.
