Law students are increasingly interested in gaining experience and serving the public by working with not-for-profit and public interest agencies in the summers after their first and second years.
The Torys Public Interest Summer Internship Award program for first-year students and the Dean's Excellence Fund internship program for second-year students reflect the Faculty's commitment to helping our students gain useful practical experience, contribute to the community, and learn about national and international career opportunities.
The
Summer Internship Guide 2009-2010 is now available. It provides you with general information about the application process for the internship awards, and will also help you research possible internship opportunities. It contains reports from students who interned in the summer of 2009.
Reports from summer interns in previous years can be found here:
2008 Reports

Applications for funding for internships in the Summer of 2010 are due by Friday, March 12, 2010.
Questions about individual internship arrangements should be directed to Leeann Beggs. Contact Gillian Ready if you have any questions about the administration of the internship awards or the application process.
