The Juris Doctor (JD) professional degree program provides the educational foundation to practise law in all common-law jurisdictions in Canada and around the world. In addition to the three-year JD program, we offer five combined JD programs in specialized areas.
Eligible applicants will have successfully completed a minimum of three years of full-time undergraduate studies at a recognized institution. Students apply under the General, Aboriginal or Access category. See the profile of our first-year class. Learn about our admission standards, categories and application documentation.
Students apply for upper-year admission if they are enrolled in a common law LLB or JD degree at another law school in Canada or outside Canada, or have completed a law degree in a foreign jurisdiction. Learn about our admission standards, categories and application documentation.
