Supporting Your Success
Queen’s Law is located in Macdonald Hall, a first-rate learning environment featuring full accessibility by elevator, wireless internet, video-conferencing technology and IT support – as well as our helpful and considerate administrative staff.
We meet the full spectrum of student needs through three offices, managed by the Assistant Dean of Students:
- Student Services
- Career Development
- Education & Equity
Student Services, at 200 Macdonald Hall, can assist you with everything from registration and SOLUS issues through convocation arrangements. Students are supported by Registration and Records Assistant Nancy Leake, Examinations and Records Coordinator Amanda Blair, and Secretary-Receptionist Christina Ulian. Course selection and time tabling are handled by Assistant Dean of Students Jane Emrich in Macdonald 513 and Curriculum, Registration & Records Manager Nancy Somers, in Macdonald 200.
Career Development provides comprehensive programs and advice, including information on articling, and long-term employment opportunities. Their career counseling and development services ensure our students are well-positioned to pursue their ideal career when their time at Queen’s comes to an end.
Education & Equity concerns itself with the daily health and wellbeing of our students. Manager Helen Connop works with the executive staff and the Academic Standing and Policy Committee to ensure optimal academic and personal support. This includes peer-matching through the unique “Happiness Project” and over a dozen services, including note-taking assistance, emergency financial support and a robust academic assistance program.
