Queen's Law enjoys a prestigious national and international reputation for excellence in teaching, scholarship and learning. Located in Kingston, Ontario, a city noted for its historical significance as the site of Fort Henry, a World Heritage site, Queen’s Law offers a comprehensive curriculum with a global perspective including an exciting program of international exchanges, public service internships and study abroad opportunities through the Global Law Programs at Herstmonceux Castle in England.

In 2011-12, 30% of our first-year students will participate in our Global Law Programs and 25% of our third-year students will spend a term away on exchange. More than half of our students have the opportunity to study abroad during their three years at Queen's Law - a proportion that no Canadian law school can equal.

The outstanding Education Equity Academic Assistance Program and Career Services programs and services help our law students realize their potential for success at law school and after graduation.

Queen’s University and the Faculty of Law are committed to the goal of ensuring a legal education remains financially affordable to qualified students. In 2010-11, more than $4.4 million in total financial assistance was granted to our students.

Queen's Law offers the following degree programs:

• 3-year Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree program.
• 3-year Master of Arts (Economics)/J.D. 
• Two 3.5-year degree programs: Master of Public Administration/J.D. and Master of Industrial Relations/J.D. Options for early completion in three years of both the graduate degree and the J.D. are being developed.
• 4-year combined J.D./Master of Business Administration degree. This program is offered in partnership with the renowned Queen's School of Business. Early completion options in 3.5 years are available on campus and through completion of one of the Global Law Programs at the BISC.  
• 1-year Common Law/Civil Law degree program in partnership with the University of Sherbrooke. Graduates of other Canadian civil law degree programs may be considered, space permitting.
• Two graduate degree programs:  Master of Laws (LL.M.) and Doctorate in Law (Ph.D.).
