Clinical Family Law
Clinical Family Law allows students to gain valuable experience and insight into the practice of family law and the role of lawyers and other professionals in the legal system. Professor Nicholas Bala coordinates placements and leads seminars for students enrolled in the course. Placements include: Children’s Aid Society, Clerk to Family Court Judges, Frontenac Youth Diversion, Victim Witness Program and with practitioners specializing in family law. Students learn about the complex legal, ethical and moral decisions involved in the application of family law, how individuals are affected in the process and the roles and responsibilities of various professionals.
