The First Year Legal Foundations Program at Queen's Law provides students with an academic orientation to the study of law, and with an introduction to a number of topics that should be considered and understood by successful law students and lawyers.
There are a number of related components of the Legal Foundations Program: the Legal Skills sessions in your ‘small section' course, the Introduction to Legal Research course, the Legal Foundations Speaker series, and the Small Section Visitors. First-year students are also very much encouraged to attend as many of the talks organized by the Visitors Committee as possible.
