Mooting can be one of the greatest experiences of law school. Whether you are interested in becoming a Bay or Wall Street lawyer, regulatory enforcer, stakeholder advocate, social policy activist, litigator, or just discover what high level practice is like, the Osler Corporate and Securities Law Moot competition at Queen’s is a great opportunity for you to develop and demonstrate your advocacy skills in a high profiled in-house competitive moot.
The Osler Corporate and Securities Law Moot at Queen’s will allow all participants to have the experience of a competitive moot. Competitive mooting provides you with an excellent opportunity to analyze complex problems, research legal issues, develop written arguments, and present your case before experienced judges and colleagues. Mooters will conduct research and advocate for and against issues in cutting-edge areas of corporate and securities law.
The winners of this competition will represent Queen’s Law at the National Corporate and Securities Law moot. Top mooters will have the opportunity to match research, knowledge, and advocacy skills with other top students from across the country and will interact with many of Canada’s top practitioners, regulators and jurists.
