Assisting hundreds of clients annually, Queen's Legal Aid has been serving the local community for 40 years.
We provide legal advice and representation to full-time students at Queen’s University and low-income area residents. Our funding comes from Legal Aid Ontario, the Faculty of Law, and Queen's student activity fees.
Many students at the Faculty of Law work at Queen’s Legal Aid during their law school studies, gaining practical experience. We supervise their work closely to ensure that our clients receive excellent service, and we are proud of the results our clinic achieves.

During the academic year, some students work at Queen’s Legal Aid on a volunteer basis, while others have more significant involvement through the Clinical Litigation Practice course (LAW-590). Others are employed at Queen’s Legal Aid during the summer and, when funding allows, there is an articling student here as well.
