With over three years of experience as a practicing lawyer in Nepal, I have gained an understanding of the legal landscape in the country, particularly in Civil, Criminal, and corporate law. My hands-on experience has shown me that the practice of law is much more intricate and expansive than what is taught in law school. This realization has fueled my desire to further my academic career, deepen my expertise, and broaden my professional network. My journey has always been shaped by the belief that true knowledge transcends traditional boundaries, and that learning is most effective in diverse environments. From a young age, I was inspired by the idea that education flourishes in dynamic and varied settings. Queen’s University embodies this vision, offering not only academic excellence but also rich intercultural experiences and opportunities for personal growth. I am particularly drawn to Queen’s because of its commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive academic community, which perfectly aligns with my aspirations for both professional and personal development. Pursuing an LLM or PhD at Queen’s will allow me to contribute to and benefit from this vibrant academic environment, furthering my goals and broadening my horizons in the field of law.
