Elizabeth is a partner at Bennett Jones LLP and practices in the area of corporate law with a specialization in private funds. She acts regularly for both fund sponsors and institutional investors in structuring domestic and international closed and open-ended investment funds.
After graduating from Queen's law in 2005, Elizabeth began her practice as a junior associate at another Canadian national law firm. In 2008, she moved to New York where she spent some time practicing US law in the area of mergers and acquisitions and private funds at a US law firm with various international offices. Prior to returning to private practice in Canada, she spent to two years practicing in-house at a merchant bank in Vancouver, specializing in the management of TSX Venture Exchange listed mining companies.
Elizabeth also sits on the Regional and Civic Affairs Policy Committee of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade and is involved with fundraising for Arts Umbrella, the non-profit arts education center for young people and Vancouver cultural landmark.
Elizabeth is actively engaged in the business of Bennett Jones LLP and is based in the Vancouver office. She is also involved in the expansion of the Bennett Jones New York office and travels regularly to New York to facilitate the firm's cross border transactional practice.
