Jacob is an international trade lawyer and certified customs specialist in the Chamber and Partners Band 1 ranked International Trade Law practice at Canada’s largest law firm, Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto. Jacob represents Canadian and international businesses and governments before the Canada Border Services Agency and Canadian International Trade Tribunal in trade remedy investigations (anti-dumping and countervailing duty), public procurement disputes, and customs matters. Jacob also provide advice to businesses and governments on compliance with WTO and free trade agreements, investment disputes, public procurement regulation, economic sanctions, controlled goods, export controls, and customs compliance. Before pursuing law, Jacob was an elected Ward Councillor in the Township of Uxbridge, and worked in an advisory capacity to both a Federal and Provincial Member of Parliament.
