Jennifer is a seasoned lawyer and community leader whose career has spanned more than three decades, with a focus on global health and immigration. She recently retired from the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, where she served as an adjudicator of refugee claims.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has held leadership roles in a number of global health organizations. She served as Chair of Dignitas International which worked to strengthen health care systems for people living in remote and impoverished regions. She chaired the Give a Day to World AIDS Campaign, helping to raise significant funds in support of HIV/AIDS initiatives in Africa. She has also been actively involved in advancing the well-being of immigrant communities in Canada through both her legal practice and nonprofit work.
Earlier in her career, Jennifer served as a Bencher of the Law Society of Upper Canada. In recognition of her philanthropic contributions, she was awarded the Lexpert–Zenith Award. She is a graduate of Queen’s University Faculty of Law, where she also served as President of the Law Students’ Society.
