Kelley McKinnon is a Harvard Fellow, Advanced Leadership Initiative 2020.

Kelley is former Deputy General Counsel and Chief Regulatory Officer at BMO Financial Group, and prior to this was Vice-President and Chief Compliance Officer at BMO Capital Markets. Formerly a partner and head of the securities litigation practice at Gowlings LLP, Kelley has conducted highly sensitive internal corporate investigations and handled multiple securities class actions, corporate disputes and defence of numerous regulatory matters. She was recognized as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada © (Securities) in 2010 and in 2011. From 2003 to 2008, Kelley was the Deputy Director of Enforcement and Chief Litigation Counsel, Ontario Securities Commission. She began her career at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP where she became Partner and Vice-Chair, Litigation Department before departing in 2003. Kelley was the first woman rector (1986 - 1988); Vice-President, (University Affairs) of the AMS (1984 - 1985); and past part-time faculty of Osgoode Law School and Faculty of Law at Queen’s in Trial Practice Skills. Kelley is currently appointed to the Queen’s Board of Trustees to 2020.
