I am a lawyer from China, specializing in handling civil and commercial litigation cases. Throughout my legal career, I have identified many biases within the current legal system, and I have continuously reflected on these issues. I believe that solving certain social and equity issues ultimately requires changes in the law. As I age, I increasingly realize that for some of the causes I've always dreamed of pursuing, if I don't act soon, my opportunities to pursue them may diminish. Therefore, I have decided to temporarily pause my busy professional life and devote time to research in the field of law. I am prepared for the possibility of failure, but I want to at least start. So, I am here at Queen's University, pursuing an LLM degree.
