Lesley L’Heureux is a seasoned litigator with over 26 years of experience in the Tax Law Services Section of the Ontario Regional Office of the Department of Justice. Throughout her career, she has managed a wide spectrum of cases, ranging from straightforward expense disputes to complex tax matters involving the General Anti-Avoidance Rule and transfer pricing. Lesley also coordinates the availability of equitable remedies for taxpayers in the Toronto area. 

 

Beyond her litigation work, Lesley has been a dedicated mentor for new Justice lawyers for more than 15 years, finding deep fulfillment in guiding the next generation of legal professionals.

 

In addition to her legal practice, Lesley is an experienced speaker, having delivered presentations on various tax-related topics to diverse audiences, including Justice lawyers, Canada Revenue Agency auditors, and other members of the legal profession. Most recently, she has taken on the role of counsel at audit, providing expert consultation to audit teams in the International Large Business and High Net Worth divisions in the Toronto area. In this capacity, she offers guidance on complex issues related to the Income Tax Act, information gathering, and audit settlements.
