Richard Tory is a Managing Director and Head of Canadian Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley, the global investment bank. Richard is also responsible for the firm’s global metals and mining practice. Now based in Toronto, Richard spent 15 years working in London, England and 7 years working in Hong Kong. Richard has spent the last 15 years advising leading global metals and mining companies on strategic and capital markets initiatives. Prior to embarking on his banking career in 1998, Richard was a partner at Torys. He also spent one year seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission and 18 months seconded to Allen & Overy in London.
Richard holds a B.A (Hons) degree from Trinity College, University of Toronto. He also graduated from Queen’s University with an LL.B. degree in 1989.
