Each year, approximately 50% of the 2L class participates in articling recruitment processes. Many students are surprised by how quickly articling deadlines can approach (some regions have deadlines beginning in May 2023).
Similar to finding summer positions, you can find an articling position through formal recruitment processes, individual job postings, and self-drive job searches. This information session and panel will introduce important timelines for formal articling recruitment processes across Canada.
Current 3L students who participated in recruitment will also share their perspective and advice. We will also introduce our updated 2023-2024 Articling Guide.
We will also explore how to research employers, navigate the CDO Articling Databases, review effective application strategies, historical placement rates, and how to navigate articling recruitment if you are already summering with a legal or law-related employer.
