Each year, approximately 50% of the 2L class participates in articling recruitment processes. Many students are surprised by how quickly articling deadlines can approach (some regions have deadlines beginning in May 2024)!

Similar to finding summer positions, you can find an articling position through formal recruitment processes, individual job postings, and self-drive job searches. This session will introduce important timelines for formal articling recruitment processes across Canada.

Current 3L students who participated in recruitment will also share their perspective and advice. We will also introduce our updated 2024-2025 Articling Guide.

Topics will include: how to research employers, navigating the CDO Articling Databases, reviewing effective application strategies, historical placement rates, and how to navigate articling recruitment if you are already summering with a legal or law-related employer.
