BizBasics is a four-part series organized and hosted by international business law firm Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. This series, developed for first-year Queen’s Law students, is designed to provide foundational insight into the knowledge, skills, and acumen necessary for the successful practice of business law. Students who attend and participate in all four sessions will receive a certificate of completion from the firm.

The second session of the Osler BizBasics series will discuss how well developed “soft skills” are essential to success in business law. Osler’s Career Development Officer, Steven Cline, will discuss the importance of emotional intelligence, relationship building, storytelling, productive time management habits and other skills key to your future success.
