Professor Robert Yalden participated in “Stakeholder Capitalism in the Canadian Context,” a panel discussion hosted by the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) on May 4. Joining him on the panel for a nuanced discussion of the Canadian legal and governance implications of the shift toward embracing the concept of “stakeholder capitalism” were Barbara Stymiest, a corporate director and the lead author of the TMX/ICD report Charting the Future of Canadian Governance; Bertrand Millot, Head of Sustainability with global investment group Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ); and moderator Catherine McCall, CCGG’s CEO.
