Students raise $2K with charity performance

For more than 30 years, Queen’s Law students have proven they aren’t just talented in the classroom and community – many of them have a second home on the stage! This year’s entertainers showed their musical chops on Feb. 11 at the annual Lawlapalooza. Students packed the Ale House in downtown Kingston to watch their schoolmates perform, bringing in $2,000 for two local organizations.

Incoming LSS President prioritizes student innovation, accessibility and community spirit

Meagan Berlin, Law’16, has been acclaimed as the Law Students’ Society President for 2015-16. Over the past two years, she has been involved with the school in multiple roles, including production manager of the student newspaper Juris Diction, selection committee member for the LSS and university Tricolour awards, and student ambassador. Having immersed herself in various aspects of the Queen’s Law student community, she feels she is ready to lead it.

Queen’s Law honours alumni with new awards

Queen’s Law community members who want to celebrate alumni accomplishments now have more opportunities than ever. Starting this year, they can nominate graduates for two new awards – the Dan Soberman Outstanding Young Alumni Award and the Justice Thomas Cromwell Distinguished Public Service Award – as well as the longstanding H.R.S. Ryan Law Alumni Award of Distinction.
