He has a depth and breadth of experience in research, teaching and academic leadership that will enable Queen’s Law to continue its momentum as one of Canada’s leading law schools. Queen’s Law announces new graduate diploma program to train prospective immigration and citizenship consultants

A ground-breaking program at Queen’s Law is poised to transform the training of individuals seeking entrance to the immigration and citizenship consulting profession. “We’re proud to be at the centre of a program that will increase the quality and reliability of immigration services and increase access to justice for those who often need it most,” says Professor Sharry Aiken, Academic Director of the Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law. Queen’s Law will launch the program in January 2021.

Justice behind bars

Through our Queen’s Prison Law Clinic, Director Kathy Ferreira, Law’01, and student caseworkers help ensure prisoners are treated fairly while serving their sentences, working with the most vulnerable inmates through disciplinary and Parole Board hearings.
